The Mormon God is Abusive

An Obvious Scam To Be Sure! Other Gods too.

“You are loved,” you are told. Well, not so actually; you are loved and valued as long as you do what He (God ) says or what We say because God told us to say it to you. Sound familiar? This pattern is not unique. It is also the same trick you find in an abusive relationship. So, I'm guessing God taught us all well.

This same mental trickery mirrors that of an abusive partner. You all will have heard or said them yourselves. Whether it be the Bible or the Book of Mormon, you will read:

1 — You are nothing without me.

2 — You are not worthy of my love.

3 — You need me to be whole.

4 — Only I can save you.

5 — Only I know what you need.

6 — You must submit (or have faith).

7 — You must let me control your life.

Of course, it's a scam and a cruel one. But the trick is, “If you do all these things, I will save you, and you will have joy and eternal life with your family.” Of course, the manipulation suggests, “And if you do not do these things, you will have nothing, go to Hell and suffer, and will never see your family again.”

And Here Comes The Kicker

8 — Look what you made me do; it's all your fault. You asked for it and deserved it. It sounds like the classic voice of a narcissist. It’s my way or the highway. If this happens in your earthly relationship, you are instructed to leave and go as far away as possible. I suggest you do likewise in your so-called heavenly relationship. It’s not real, but it would be described as abuse if it was.

As Robert Anton Wilson points out, “The Bible tells us to be like God, and then page after page it describes God as a mass murderer. This may be the single most important key to the behavior of Western Civilization.” I agree with Wilson and add the Mormon scriptures are no different. I would also remind us that other Gods in other parts of the world are no different.

For God so loved the world, he drowned everyone. Just kidding, the biblical flood never happened. Why would you worship a genocidal mass murderer if you believed it did? Never mind QAnon, scams have been perpetrated for thousands of years. Humans are like that. Easy to abuse and be abused. An inbuilt urge to have explanations for all things has always created humans ready to believe anything another person says if it seemingly answers their concerns.
